Hi!

I'm Amanda Nauman

As founder of Zenliven LLC, and a passionate licensed massage therapist, specializing in pain and stress relief I want to welcome you and tell you a bit about myself.

My first massage helped me feel so relaxed and enlivened all at once, a feeling of joy that forever shaped my career path. In 2006, I began my journey to become a Board Certified Licensed Massage Therapist, specializing in therapeutic touch to relieve pain and discomfort. While studying different modalities, such as Myoskeletal Realignment, Myofacial Release, Orthopedic Massage for Headaches/Migraines (just to name a few) what I discovered was that I am able to bring together an effective focused approach towards your massage therapy sessions.

I strive to make a true connection with each of my clients, by getting to know YOU as an individual, your goals and dreams. I am so grateful for the gifts I have to share with Middletown Delaware, knowing that I make a difference in people’s lives. I look forward to meeting you.

FAQs

Do I have to get undressed?

To have a comfortable experience during your assisted stretching or Thai massage appointments, it is recommended that you wear comfortable clothing like sweats, t-shirts, or yoga pants. Avoid wearing jeans or dresses as they can limit your range of motion or cause indecent exposure.

During the massage, you may be asked to undress completely or leave your underwear on, but it's important to communicate your level of comfort with your therapist. If you have any uncertainties, do not hesitate to ask questions. It's crucial to remember that your massage therapist will always uphold your privacy and utilize proper draping techniques to maintain your comfort. We hope this allows you to have a satisfying massage experience.

Do I have memberships or packages available?

Packages are available. Here are the details.

At this current time, we are exploring what and how we want our amazing memberships to be like. If you have any suggestions, send your thoughts our way. We want the opportunity to add what's important to you.

Do I take insurance?

At this current time, we have made the decision not to accept insurance. While we understand that insurance can provide a level of financial support to many individuals seeking alternative wellness services, There are several reasons why we have chosen to operate our practice without insurance coverage. Firstly, insurance companies place strict demands and limitations on therapists, often dictating the type and length of treatment a patient can receive. Additionally, by operating our practice independently, we are able to have lower overhead costs, allowing us to keep our fees competitive without sacrificing the level of care our patients receive. While we understand that not accepting insurance may not be the best option for everyone, we believe that it provides us with the freedom to practice alternative healing modalities i in a way that best suits the needs of our clients.

What should I expect during my massage session?

WHEN YOU ARRIVE:

It’s a good idea to use the restroom, and silence your phone. We will make sure paperwork is complete, and have a quick consult.

PRE-MASSAGE CONSULT:

Your therapist will answer any questions you have. They will ask you questions, regarding your specific issues and goals for the session, and may do some quick assessments. Next they will provide a brief plan of  the session, and guidance for getting comfortable on the table.

DURING THE SESSION:

When you allow yourself to become quite, focusing on your breath, thats when you experience the greatest benefit. By doing this it also lets the therapist focus on you. However if there’s anything bothering you SPEAK UP!!!

What is the frequency I should be receiving a massage?

The frequency of getting massages is a decision that depends entirely on your personal goals. In case of chronic pain, it is advisable to opt for more frequent massages initially and gradually increase the time span as the pain subsides. Ordinarily, receiving a massage once a month is considered sufficient once you start feeling better.

When is it NOT ok to get a massage?

If you are experiencing a fever, any other type of infection, or a contagious disease that includes rashes, your appointment must be rescheduled.

What is an appropriate tip?

Love offerings (a.k.a. tips) are greatly appreciated with no obligation. Most people tip 15 to 20%, however it’s up to you. You can do this by paying your therapist directly, cash or Venmo.

Does Zenliven offer referral discounts?

YES!!!!

We have a strong belief in growing our community through referrals at our studio. To achieve this, we have introduced a program where clients can receive a $40 discount on their next massage session for every successful referral they make. This program not only allows clients to share the benefits of our services with their loved ones but also offers them rewards for doing so. Join us in establishing a network of individuals who are enthusiastic about wellness!
